Weekend plan in Alcudia

Get the best out of your weekend in Alcudia:  let us plan it for you. Here is our proposal of the best way to enjoy a weekend in Alcudia.

FRIDAY:
Even though you’ve just arrived, don’t miss Rural Mallorca.

Rural Mallorca Excursion: Everyone learns how to choose the best produce.

This is a rustic Mallorcan day out, organised by No Frills Excursions, taking in some real Mallorcan villages and small markets where you will participate in selecting products for lunch before being taken to an actual Mallorcan farmhouse where you will learn to prepare some traditional local dishes and enjoy a delicious barbecue with unlimited wine. This tour includes a visit to a real, working wine cellar where the people of the town buy their wine directly from the barrel.

In the evening, continue your cultural day by having a selection of excellent value and delicious tapas at Can Punyetes in the port of Alcudia surrounded by locals kick-starting their weekend.

SATURDAY:
Start with a lazy breakfast just whenever you wake up. Then take a relaxing and visually stunning boat trip from Alcudia’s port: You can choose between the 4-hour trip that leaves the port at 12pm or the 2-hour trip that leaves the port at 10am or at 1pm. And enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the dramatic northern coast passing Es Coll Baix, the bay of Alcudia and Formentor (4-hour trip only).

When you get off the boat take a lazy stroll around the port or a not so lazy hike up the hill to Aucanada for impressive views. Then finish your walk on the marina in the port where you can see the impressive yachts and enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail with marvellous views of the bay at one of the many bars on the marina.

Have dinner under the stars at one of the many excellent restaurants in the port. We recommend Dulcinea, Bodega des Port or Pierro Rossi.

SUNDAY:
Not to be missed is the visually stunning Island Tour including boat, train, tram and coach and with free time in Sa Calobra and Puerto Sóller. This is Mallorca’s premier excursion. Taking this tour with No Frills Excursions makes this experience the highlight of your holiday. As you are only visiting for the weekend, be sure not to miss this opportunity to discover some of Mallorca’s hidden secrets of the dramatic west coast.

In the evening, to finish off your weekend, visit the old town of Alcudia for dinner at one of Alcudia’s favourite restaurants: Can Costa, offering excellent Mallorcan dishes like roast suckling pig or shoulder of lamb.
